Overview

FilmAll ("we" or "the App") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

  • The App does not require account registration and does not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or other personal information
  • Your film roll data, shooting parameters, and equipment information are stored only in the on-device database
  • The App does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking tools
  • The App does not track user behavior or use device advertising identifiers

Camera Access

The App requires camera access for the following features:

  • Light metering: Reads ambient light data through the camera sensor to calculate exposure values (EV)
  • Negative preview: Captures negative film frames through the camera for real-time negative-to-positive conversion
  • Reference photos: Optionally saves a reference photo during metering for later comparison with scanned results

Camera frames are processed locally in real-time and are never recorded, transmitted, or stored on any external server. Reference photos are only saved in the app's local sandbox directory.

Location Access

With your permission, the App may access location information solely for the following purpose:

  • Recording the shooting location of each photo so you can review where photos were taken
  • Location data is stored only in the on-device database and is never uploaded to any server
  • You can disable location access at any time in system Settings without affecting other features

Photo Library Access

The App accesses your photo library when importing scanned negatives or saving scan screenshots. Imported images are copied to the app's local storage; original photos in your library are never modified or deleted. The App only accesses your photo library when you actively initiate an action and does not scan or read photo library data in the background.

iCloud Sync

The App supports syncing data across your devices via Apple iCloud:

  • Synced data includes: film roll records, shooting parameters, equipment info, reference photos, and scanned images
  • Data is transferred and stored via Apple CloudKit and iCloud Drive, fully encrypted by Apple
  • We cannot access any data stored in your iCloud account
  • You can disable iCloud sync for the App at any time in system Settings
  • iCloud data storage and processing follows Apple's Privacy Policy

In-App Purchases

The App offers Pro membership as an in-app purchase, including monthly subscription, annual subscription, and lifetime purchase options.

  • All purchase transactions are processed through Apple's App Store; we do not directly collect or store your payment information
  • Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework without involving third-party servers
  • Purchase-related data processing follows Apple's Privacy Policy

Local Storage

The App uses UserDefaults to store a small amount of app preference data (such as language settings and cached membership status). This data is stored only on your device and does not contain any personally identifiable information.

Data Storage & Security

All user data (film records, shooting parameters, reference photos, scanned images, equipment info) is stored within the app's sandbox on your device, protected by iOS system security mechanisms. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is also stored in your Apple iCloud account. We do not operate any proprietary servers and do not store any copies of user data. Deleting the App will delete all local data (iCloud data is not affected).

Third-Party Services

Apart from Apple's system frameworks (CloudKit, StoreKit), the App does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics tools, or social sharing features.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend checking this policy periodically for the latest information.
